From quiffs to hippy hair, rock chick styles ruled this season, says the TIGI International Creative Team. And that was the case at the Missoni show in Milan, where Paul Hanlon and the team created a powerful, statuesque, modern day “teddy boy” look on the models. What makes the look modern is the dual-texture nature of the hair: matte vs. shine; wet vs. dry; rough vs. smooth—plus the do-it-yourself aspect. It’s casual-cool rather than try-hard glamour.
