Textured Off Side Cut from American Crew

This style from American Crew’s International All-Star, Nevena Rothe, has a very party boy meets tough guy feel. Classic in its foundation as an undercut, the front of the hair is slicked up to create a rough, rebel look, think West Side Story or Danny Zuko from Grease. This cut is perfect for men who want to be noticed and who want a fun, hip look that is easy to style.

    2

Establish the basic head shape and create a high taper using the American Crew Feather Razor Clipper. Using the scissor-over-comb technique, create vertical panels.

    3

Create a T-shape parting behind the ear and down the center. Cut the entire transition with disconnection from the bottom part of the head, leaving it longer at the front.

    4

Cut the opposite side straight out, connecting to the bottom half of the hair.

    5

Connect the top with the side-to-side sections in the front of the crown, cutting moderate depth and simple angles over hand, from the back of the section to the front. Detail the top with slide-cutting for elevation and isolate areas where the hair does not lift well. Define a part by cutting an isolated section.

Refine the taper with the clipper-free hand. Blend the transition with the razor-over-comb technique. Next use American Crew Boost Cream and a paddle brush to smooth the hair.
