Check out this unbelievable makeover by James Earnshaw (@jhair_stylist), a stylist from Birmingham, UK. Below, James explains how he got this (temporary) shade of rose gold, and how he’d achieve a more permanent version.

HOW-TO STEPS

    Pre-lighten using Formula A, working freehand to lighten and clean up certain areas. James worked higher around the face to add texture and soften the face shape. Process for 45 minutes.

  • 2

    Rinse, shampoo twice and perform a Wella Professionals Color Saver Emulsion Intensive After Color Treatment before toning.

  • 3

    Apply Formula B all over. Leave in, and condition. Note: James says if he wanted a more permanent version, he would use Wella Professionals Illumina 30 ml 9/43+ 5 ml 0/65 and process for 20 minutes.

  • 4

    To create the waves, James used a small curling iron facing downward, and waved away from face, then brushed out the waves.
