The Virginia-based stylist’s extreme transformations are crazy good (plus she’s a big believer in sharing with other stylists, so get ready for some major inspiration and education). Our latest obsession of Joie’s is this metallic rose gold makeover—did we say GOALS?! Here’s her color formula and how-to!

COLOR FORMULAS

  • Starting Point

    balayaged two months prior with Wella Professionals BLONDOR Freelights + 40-volume developer + Olaplex No.1

  • Formula A

    Matrix UL Metallic Rose Gold + 30-volume developer + Olaplex No.1

  • Formula B

    Joico Metallic Muse Mauve Quarz

Products Used

HOW-TO STEPS

  • 1

    Apply Formula A all over, and process for 22 minutes. Rinse and towel-dry.

  • 2

    On damp hair, apply Formula B. Process for 30 minutes, then rinse. Apply BLONDOR Colour Post Treatment + Olaplex No.2, and process for five minutes. Shampoo and condition using Wella Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner.

  • 3

    Blow-dry, then cut and wave (Joie used the Glampalm® 1” Pro flat iron), making sure to leave out the ends for a more modern look.

  • 4

    Apply Sebastian Professional Dark Oil for shine, then have client flip head over and apply amika Un.Done Texture Spray. Finish with Sebastian Professional Molding Mud.
