Show Steps
1
First, prepare hair with PureVolume Shampoo® and HairCondition® to increase fullness and protect colour vibrancy. Follow with EssentialRepair ColourMax and EssentialRepair InstantRepair for optimum colour retention and improved hair condition. Evenly distribute PureVolume Blow-dry Amplifier through hair to infuse body and flexible bounce. Apply RootLift directly to the root area and then blow-dry towards the crown using a round brush for maximum volume.
Next, create a horseshoe parting from recession to recession. Next, create a vertical panel one and a half inches wide in the center back. Clip away top and side sections.
Show Steps
2
French braid the center back panel. Continue braiding the tail to the ends. Secure with an elastic.
Show Steps
3
Wrap the tail of the braid upwards around the center panel in a spiral formation. Secure with closed fasteners making sure that the braid lies flat against the head. The braid is the foundation to which the other sections will attach. It will not be visible in the finished look.
Show Steps
4
Lace the side section to create texture and volume by brushing hair towards the head in one inch vertical panels. Start at center back and work towards the face. Smooth the exterior surface away from the face using a soft bristle brush.
Show Steps
5
Holding hair at mid-lengths, roll up and towards center back. Secure the edge of the roll to the braid with closed fasteners. Wrap the ends and tuck into the barrel of the roll.
Show Steps
6
Repeat on other side.
Show Steps
7
Starting at the back of the top section, lace hair to create texture and volume by brushing hair towards the head in horizontal panels. Roll hair diagonally towards the crown. Push roll forward with one hand while pulling the front with the other to achieve desired shape.
Show Steps
8
Roll and tuck the ends under and secure at crown with closed fasteners. Smooth the exterior layer towards the crown with a soft bristle brush allowing wisps of hair to fall around the face. Finish with InCharge and GlossingMist.
