Men’s Pomp and Fade

Nothing quite rivals the vintage charm of a clean, sleek pompadour. Recently revamped as a new modern classic, this sly style is reminiscent of a simpler time— tricked up hot rods, the birth of Rock ‘n’ Roll, and easy Saturday nights parked at the drive in. These days, it’s all about those days, and everyone wants a sweet stylish slice of early Americana. Christa Sears, Steel Team Educator at 18|8 Fine Men’s Salons, shows you how to give him a style with all the pomp and glory he’s sure to love. Think a leather-clad James Dean, forever a rebel without a cause, or the silly, sexy rockabilly sounds of Elvis Presley. Here’s how to get the look.

Use scissor-over-comb and freehand point-cutting to blend and remove any hard lines around the front hairline. Add a little GO24•7 POMADE and then with a Denman brush, blow-dry. Spritz with GO24•7 CONTROL SPRAY to achieve or lift and support for a pompadour finish.
