Matrix Vavoom “Natural Diva” Cut Step-by-Step
Whether she’s starring in a film, playing the lead on Broadway or walking the red carpet, these mid length to long locks look glamorous, sensuous and thoroughly feminine. Try your hand at this glam look from Vavoom, then try the color step-by-step to complement this cut.
HOW-TO STEPS
-
1
Sectioning: Create a center parting from front hairline to top of crown.
-
2
Starting at the hairline, take ½-inch sections from each side of parting and cut to desired length using zero elevation.
-
3
Take a 1-inch section from front hairline to crown as shown. Overdirect hair forward and cut to guide length.
-
4
Use a stationary guide and cut all hair above parietal.
-
5
Recreate a center parting and then a radial parting from ear-to-ear over the top of the crown. In the section behind the ears, use slight elevation and surface plane hair to connect layers and create softness. (If desired, remove length using shallow point cutting.)
-
6
Taking vertical subsections at the ear, elevate the hair straight out from the head and using the guide from above, connect the layers through the sides using a traveling guideline. Complete
both sides. -
7
After the hair is dried into a natural wave pattern, detail the cut by twist cutting with texturizing scissors to create softness and remove weight.
-
8
After her color treament, this “Natural Diva” looks downright fresh and glamorous.
