Justin Anderson (@justinandersoncolor) is the go-to blonder for the biggest names in Hollywood for a reason—his raw, California blondes look more like they walked straight off the beach than out of the salon. Justin shared this MAJOR transformation on Insta, taking his dark brunette client to platinum perfect (like THAT!) and we had to share it with the BTC fam. Get all the formulas and steps below!

    1

    Before

  • 2

Section the hair into four. Then, apply Formula A, saturating the ends first and working your way up the midshaft. Pro Tip: Leave out the roots until later in the process because they will lift quickly from scalp heat.

  • 3

Put on a processing cap and have her sit under the dryer for 10 minutes. “Always remember that Olaplex will slow down the bleach,” shares Justin.

  • 4

Pull the hair out of the heat and saturate again, applying Formula A.

  • 5

Once the midshaft and ends have lifted to “canary yellow,” apply Formula A on the roots (at the bowl!), and process. Then, wash the hair.

  • 6

Blow-dry the hair. Apply Formula B on the midshaft and ends.

  • 7

Place cotton in between the roots for protection. Process under the dryer until the hair is a pale yellow, then wash.

  • 8

Apply Formula C to the roots only and work quickly. The toner should process for 5 minutes in total, so, after 3 minutes, run Formula C through to the ends. Process for 2 more minutes, then rinse.

  • 9

Then, apply Formula D to the roots only. Process for 10 minutes. “Leave the ends raw and blonde”, shares Justin. Then, rinse.
