  Take a 1-inch section and prep the hair with Moroccanoil® Perfect Defense, then pinch and wrap around a 3/4-inch barrel. Let it cool, unravel and slightly pull on the hair before releasing it for a wavy effect. Mist Moroccanoil® Luminous Strong Hold Hairspray.

  Repeat until the hair is completely curled. Then, apply Moroccanoil® Dry Texture Spray and expand the curls using your fingers.

  Create a middle part and take a large horizontal parting at the crown, clipping away the two front quadrants.

  Starting at the crown on the left quadrant, take diagonal back 3/4-inch sections and generously apply Luminous Strong Hold Hairspray.

  Use the Moroccanoil® Teasing Brush with tension at the root and direct the hair toward the crown and into your hand. Continue this technique until you reach the hairline.

  For the last section around the ear, lightly mist with Luminous Strong Hairspray to avoid looking more wet than sleek. Then, repeat this technique on the opposite side.

  Gather all of the hair with tension at the crown and secure tightly with a bungee at the base.

  HAIR SECRET: After the ponytail is secured at the base, move up another inch and secure with a cord for instant lift additional height.

  Want to take the pony even higher? Continue working up the hair and tie off between 1-inch sections until desired height is achieved.

  Take a section of hair and smooth it out using a Moroccanoil® Teasing Brush. Apply Luminous Strong Hold Hairspray and wrap the hair around to cover the ties and tuck in to secure, or use a hair pin to secure at the base.

  Finish the look by applying Luminous Strong Hold Hairspray and expanding the curls with a brush and comb.
