HOW-TO STEPS

    Prep the hair with SignatureBlonde Violet Shampoo, Violet Condition and Restorative Filler. Then apply TruCurl Anti-Frizz Oil through the midlengths and ends, and layer CurlyLocks Color Protect Curl Mousse over the top.

    Blow-dry the hair, taking large sections and twisting them into your hand to create a naturally wavy texture. Detail curls with a medium- or large-barrel curling iron if necessary.

    Create a halo section around the crown.

    Create four ponytails across the back of the section.

    Fishtail braid each ponytail, expanding for fullness using PowderFix Texturizing Powder.

    Once all ponytails are braided, bring each braid up and pin to the head against the halo parting, creating a braided crown.

  • 7

    Finish with TextureCharge Color Protect Texture + Finishing Spray and UltraMarathon Strong Hold Color Protect Hairspray.
