HOW-TO STEPS

    Section top of head from recession to crown of head, secure and clip away hair.

    Clipper cut starting at the nape following the shape of head to crown, hair is cut to 1.5-inch.

    Clipper cut sides following the shape of head to round of head, hair is cut to 1.5-inch

    Drop top section and create a rectangle section. Create guide length at the crown in rectangle section. Working back to front, overdirecting back to previous cut section to retain length. In the front fringe, pull all sections to stationary guide and cut to retain length.

    Comb side hair up and cut to established guide length, using a traveling guide cut hair moving from back to front. Overdirect sides at recession area to stationary guide in fringe area and cut. Repeat on other side. Haircut will be a disconnected overlay.

    To Style

    Put Together Look
    1. Mix gel #mixitstrong with polish #mixitsoft from roots to ends.
    2. Round brush, pulling hair forward.
    3. Shape and finish it off with hair spray #superfirm.

    Hot Messy Look
    1. Apply gel #mixitstrong from roots to ends.
    2. Round brush, pulling hair forward and backcomb for ooh là là volume.
    3. Sprinkle powder #round2 at base, shape hair and pull fringe down
    4. Separate ends by mixing putty clay #wreckit with a sprinkle of powder #round2 and separate ends.
    5. Lightly finish it off with hair spray #superfirm
