    1

Starting on damp hair, prep with Virtue®️ Uplifted Volumizing Whip throughout. Use a diffuser to rough-dry the hair completely—this will cut down the blow-dry time and bring out your client’s natural texture! completely

Then, take a section at the hairline that’s the same size as the brush. Overdirect the hair and apply heat to the roots, then work through the ends. Wrap the hair around the brush and continue to apply heat. Let the hair cool to achieve full bounce.

Pro Tip: Adir recommends using a brush that has a combination of nylon and natural boar bristles. The nylon will create grip and the natural bristles will add shine to the blowout.

Then, roll the section around your fingers to create a large-barrel curl and pin at the base. Repeat this pattern two more times working toward the crown, so there’s a total of three pinned curls in the Mohawk section.

As the curl set cools, create large and bouncy waves throughout the rest of the hair. Here’s the technique—take a large section and using a 1.25-inch Marcel iron, slide it down 2 to 3 inches and create a bend, hold and let it cool. Then, repeat in alternating directions and feed the ends through for a natural-looking wave.

Backcomb each section at the root, apply Virtue®️ Finale Shaping Spray, and then use Adir’s cool trick for really setting the volume: diffuse the backcombed section to let it dry.
