HOW-TO STEPS

    1

Hair should be shampooed and dried first.

    2

Mix a thickening lotion and a styling crème together in a bowl and apply to the roots with a brush, like a root tint application.

  • close formula
    3

Dry all the roots upwards with a comb to create structure and volume at the roots only.

  • close formula
    4

Make up the same product mixture and this time, using your hands, apply to the mid-lengths and ends.  Start approximately two inches from the roots.

    5

Now begin to dry by starting at the nape, using only your fingers.

  • close formula
    6

Drag your fingers through the mid-lengths and ends (to straighten but not smooth the hair) until each section is completely dry.

  • close formula
    7

Continue this technique throughout, working in an upward motion.

  • close formula
    8

Keep reapplying the mixture to the mid-lengths and ends until the hair feels almost synthetic, creating structure, volume and texture.

  • close formula
    9

Working from the underneath, start to back-brush the mid-lengths in an upward, flicking motion to create a fluffy texture.

  • close formula
    10

Continue back-brushing throughout, creating a light fluffy texture.

  • close formula
    11

Smooth over the top sections very lightly with a soft brush.

  • close formula
    12

    Gently brush back the sides.

  • close formula
    13

Secure the sides with a pin.

  • close formula
    14

Dress the remainder of the hair back into a loose ponytail.

  • close formula
    15

Release the pins and dress out for a loose, bohemian-chic look.

  • close formula
    16

Let hair down and style loosely for a classy casual look.
