Sharon Stone’s Tousled Pixie

close formula

For clients rocking short hair in the new year, it can feel like options are limited when it comes to styling their hair. For a little inspo, check out Sharon Stone’s 2018 Golden Globes red carpet look! Her softly-sculpted pixie is perfectly tousled yet still sophisticated, and is a great alternative to your client’s typical wash-and-go style. Here’s how celeb stylist Giannandrea did it.

Manufacturer: MOP

HOW-TO STEPS

1

Start by washing her hair with MOP Basil Mint Revitalizing Shampoo. Skip conditioner, then gently towel-dry.

2

Then, generously spray MOP Lemongrass Lift to the crown area to create a solid foundation from the roots throughout the length of her layers.

3

Using your hands, apply MOP Lemongrass Volume Whip throughout to create moveable volume with a medium hold, giving each strand a strong grip on volume before blow-drying.

4

Then, start at the top and separate the hair into small sections. Blow-dry using a small round brush with the blow dryer set at a low speed. Lift each section straight up from the roots and round out the ends to achieve a voluminous end result. For the back and sides, brush these sections backward.

5

Once the hair is completely dry, apply a dime-sized amount of MOP Basil Mint Clay for definition and hold. Use your fingers to evenly distribute the product, piecing out the ends of each section.

6

Set the style with MOP C-System Firm Finish Hair Spray, primarily focusing on the sides. Lightly spray the top of the head.
