Marion Cotillard’s Hair Headband
A little bit Boho, a little bit Barbarella, this chic look sported by actress Marion Cotillard strikes a perfect balance. It was created by celebrity stylist Robert Vetica for Cottillard’s red carpet appearance at Cannes. “I actually wrapped an extension over a flat headband,” Vetica reveals, adding, “With this look, it’s important to keep the hair looking perfectly clean and free of flyways.”
HOW-TO STEPS

Apply volumizing mousse to damp hair and blow-dry with a large, boar bristle brush, directing strands away from the face.

Working with medium-hold hairspray, backcomb the entire head with an emphasis on the crown.

Mist a small teasing brush with spray and gently tap the hairline sections to eliminate frizz.

Place a headband on the forehead and tie it at the back of the neck to tighten. Gently pull it back to the desired point on the head.

Gather the remaining hair on one side, braid halfway down, then secure.

Pin a hair extension track over the headband, securing it on each side.

Finish with hairspray, and detail the hair with a rattail comb to perfect the proportion.
