Have you seen “House of Gucci” in theaters yet? If not, you’re missing out on Lady Gaga slaying some iconic hair looks from the ’70s to the ’90s, like this short, feathered cut that screams opulence! The genius behind remaking Gaga into her Gucci character Patrizia Reggiani was her long-time hairstylist Frederic Aspiras (@fredericaspiras).

Frederic wanted the hair to stay as true to the period as possible, even going as far as using vintage styling techniques to achieve the right look. “I wanted the texture, I wanted the vibe, I wanted the feel, the way it moved… because it needed to transport you to that time,” he said.

HOW-TO STEPS

1

Start by applying Joico Dream Blowout Thermal Protection Créme to towel-dried hair.

2

Next, evenly distribute Joico Power Whip through damp strands.

3

Use a 1-inch barrel round brush and blow dryer to pull hair away from the face, making sure it frames the sides.

4

Spray Joico RiseUp to the roots and throughout the hair for volume and texture.

5

Use a vented flap brush to create lines in the hair and finish with Joico Flip Turn.
