Not all brides want elaborate upstyles or whimsical braids for their big day. In fact, Kate Upton, who recently tied the knot in the Tuscan countryside, kept her hair simple yet glamorous with flowing Hollywood-inspired waves. Here’s how Moroccanoil’s John Ruggiero created the look.
Prep hair by applying two pumps of Moroccanoil® Treatment from midlengths to ends to set the foundation for styling.
Spray Moroccanoil® Root Boost generously at the roots for full body, volume and lift. Then, blow-dry the hair in 1 ¼-inch sections using a 35mm ceramic round brush and pinning up each section as you work.
Next, twist each section around a 1-inch curling iron, creating waves throughout the head. Spray each section with Moroccanoil® Luminous Hairspray Medium.
Brush out each section starting from the back and working toward the front giving the hair a light tease.
Take the right side of the hair and brush back securing with bobby pins to hold in place. Then tease the crown with the Moroccanoil® Boar Bristle Teasing Brush to create a base for the veil.
Finish with a light mist of Moroccanoil® Luminous Hairspray Strong to set the style.
