Just like she did at the Cannes Film Festival, actress Margot Robbie gave another nod to Sharon Tate at the premiere of Tarantino’s “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.” Channeling the ’70s starlet’s iconic and decade-defining glamour both on- and off-screen, Margot wore soft and voluminous Old Hollywood waves with the top layer of hair pinned back. Totally gorgeous, right? Keep reading to learn how Moroccanoil® Celebrity Hairstylist Bryce Scarlett (@brycescarlett) created the look!

Style Notes: “Margot’s premiere look was inspired by the silhouette of her stunning Chanel dress,” shares Bryce. “We wanted to balance the volume and flow of her dress to that of her soft and voluminous waves while keeping it light and elegant.”

HOW-TO STEPS

1

Start by applying a dime-sized amount of Moroccanoil® Treatment Light to establish the foundation of the style.

2

Then, apply a generous amount of Moroccanoil® Volumizing Mousse at the roots and a dime-sized amount of Moroccanoil® Hydrating Styling Cream to the ends.

3

Blowout the hair smooth using the Moroccanoil® Ceramic 45MM Round Brush and the Moroccanoil® Professional Series Tourmaline Ceramic Hair Dryer.

4

Once the hair is fully blown out, set the hair in velcro rollers to help create bouncy, soft, voluminous waves. Then, remove the rollers one by one starting at the nape and tease each section at the root while spraying Moroccanoil® Dry Texture Spray throughout each section.

Pro Tip: To create instantaneous volume, tease the hair with the Moroccanoil® Boar Bristle Classic Brush at the crown and midlengths, spraying Moroccanoil® Dry Texture Spray into the teased sections for grit and hold.

5

Next, gather the top layer of the hair into a triangle-shaped, off-centered part to create a soft ’70s-inspired style and secure with hair pins.

6

Finish the look with Moroccanoil® Luminous Hairspray Medium to provide a long-lasting, weightless hold.
