Get The Look: Barrette Pony at Christian Siriano FW18
We fell in love with this S-waved ponytail, clasped with matte black barrettes, at the Christian Siriano Fall 2018 show. The hair by Sebastian Professional’sAnthony Cole reflected the glamour and excitement of the elegant collection, inspired by 18th century British art in the Queen’s Gallery in London. Anthony modernized the idea of 18th century embellishments with the barrettes and soft S-wave. Luxe fabrics and romantic silhouettes paired perfectly with the look, but this pretty pony is equally as wearable with ripped jeans and a plain T-shirt. Get the steps from Anthony below!
With a round brush, blow-dry the hair straight with Sebastian Professional Thickefy Foam for grip and added thickness. Once dry, use Sebastian Professional Dry Clean Only and brush well.

Separate hair above recession line into clips and out of the way.

Taking 2 inch sections below the recession line from each side, create a “V” at the back of the head and secure into a ponytail.

Using a flat iron, pleat the pony tail by flat-ironing in an “S” shape and spray with Sebastian Professional Shaper for lift and hold. Watch Sebastian’s Marylle Koken create the S-wave in the video above!

With a middle part, brush the top section with Sebastian Professional Zero Gravity for light control and texture, then fasten at the back of the head with three barrettes.

Using a flat iron, pleat remaining hair in an “S” shape and spray with Sebastian Professional Shaper for lift and hold.

Finish with Sebastian Professional Shine Shaker for a shiny, luminous finish.
