I work in a specialty salon where we preform only haircuts, no chemical services and limited styling options. We also don’t take appointments so no receptionist. We do allow online check in which will serve as appointments when we reopen. We’ve been told we as stylists will alternate as receptionist to deal with guests. Am I crazy for feeling as if the Franchisee/managment should have a structured plan for the role we play as receptionist? Ppl will be in cars and outside waiting and I have no idea how we’re supposed to assign time slots for services. I’m more anxious about the chaos in operations than I am about the safety of my health! Am I expecting too much? Are we just supposed to wing it? I asked these questions and got the runaround. How are you guys who work in fast paced, chain salons handling this?
