I’m in Buffalo NY and we are nearing the end of week 2 of mandatory closure. I am a salon owner and have been hearing of stylists working from home or going to houses. Absolutely in cool. That’s not social distancing. Are there fines or license suspension possibilities? I hear Connecticut has had a few instances of fines and a license suspension. Is this true?
I’m in the Central Valley (in California) and we have a barber shop directly next to us. While we closed on March19th due to a state wide Mandate that directly closed Hair salons, barber shops and nail salons. He has continued to remain open. The city stated they would issue fines or revoke licensing for businesses that remained open that were deemed non-essential. Nothing has happened here so far either. The barber doesn’t even have a license which is even more insulting. I’ve heard from a few stylists in my area that they are going to continue to work too …….It feels like a cruel joke
