      Over 80% of Americans will be eligible to receive a direct check as a result of the $2 trillion stimulus package passed by the U.S Senate yesterday. We’ve broke down everything you need to know:

      -You must be a U.S. tax payer.

      -If you used direct deposit to file your 2019 or 2018 taxes, checks will be deposited directly into that account.

      -Amounts Per Tax Payer:
      -Filed as “Single” and making less than $75,000 annually will receive $1,200.

      -Filed as “Single” and making $75,100-$99,000 annually will receive a check less than $1,200.
      *Amounts are reduced by $5 for every $100 above $75,000

      -Married couples making a combined income less than $150,000 annually will receive a check for $2,400.
      *Married couples will also receive $500 extra for any child under 17 and is claimed as a dependent.

      -Married couples making a combined income of $150,000-$198,000 annually will receive reduced checks on a sliding scale.

      -Filed as “Head of Household” are eligible for $1,200 if they earn up to $112,500 annually.
      *Heads of household will also receive $500 extra for any child under 17 and is claimed as a dependent.

      -Heads of household making $112,500-$136,500 will receive reduced checks on a sliding scale.

      -U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin is expecting payments to be sent to Americans by April 6, 2020.
