FORMULA STEPS

  1. Start by applying Formula A to the regrowth area only and process until she reaches Level 10.

  2. At the bowl, apply Formula B as a quick soap cap. “Her hair is already a Level 10, so the soap cap only sat on to extract her old toner,” shares Cara.

  3. Rinse, then shampoo with Fanola No Yellow Shampoo.

  4. Pretone by applying Formula C on the roots and Formula D from the midlengths to the ends. Process for 25 minutes. “For all my vivid clients, I like to pretone first to provide a nice canvas that will allow their hair to fade nicely in the long run,” says Cara. “I didn’t need to tone out much yellow pigment from her ends because she wanted a yellow color.”

  5. Rinse, then blow-dry until her hair is completely dry. Apply Formula E from the midlengths to the ends, blending the formula into her dark gray roots. Process for 30 minutes.
