Well, isn’t this client lucky! Stylist and BTC #ONESHOT Hotshot Finalist Jaymz Marsters @jaymz.marsters from Norfolk, England gave her an enchanting emerald that melts into misty gray. “When my client first sat down in my chair, she got out a photo of a beautiful soft pink color melt,” Jaymz shares. “Not wanting to be like everyone else, we decided to go for a deep emerald/forest green, while leaving the ends a blank canvas of silver-white so that we are able to play around with different colors in upcoming appointments without compromising the hair.” Here, Jaymz shares his Irish mist formula so you can get your clients St. Patrick’s Day-ready!

 

Starting Level: Natural Level 7, 1-inch regrowth, previously lightened ends with pastel pink and purple residue

FORMULA STEPS

1. Apply Formula A to regrowth area and process until hair is a Level 9.

 

2. Apply Formula B to midlengths and ends, and process until the root area is a clean Level 10 and old color has been lifted.

 

3. Rinse with cool water and shampoo twice with Affinage Cool Blonde and leave to tone hair for 5 minutes. Rinse and do not apply conditioner. Blow-dry into desired parting/style.

 

4. Apply Formula C in a regular regrowth application, dragging it down an extra inch and feathering into the midshaft. Wipe hands and end of tint brush in between each section.

 

5. Apply Formula D starting from underneath the hair, working upwards towards the top of the head. Apply onto the ends first, working your way up to midshaft, blending it into the root green shade and marrying the two colors for a seamless blend.

 

6. Use your fingers to gently massage the root area, loosening up the hair. Process for 25 minutes without heat.

 

7. Rinse with cool water until water runs clear. Apply Olaplex No. 2 for 10 minutes, the gently shampoo hair ends with Cool Blonde Shampoo and condition with Cool Blonde Conditioner.

 

8. Cut, blow-dry with Schwarzkopf Osis Flatliner and style.
