Who is the ideal candidate for this look?

“The ideal client for this look is your everyday gal who loves lived-in color but wants a funky, sassy twist. This specific client is a CEO and mother of two who wants to turn up the funk in a low-maintenance way,” says Toni. Because this look requires the hair to be lifted to a Level 9, clients with previous color or darker starting levels might not be ideal for this look.

What maintenance is required for this look?

At home, Toni recommends using a color-conserving shampoo and conditioner for longevity and vibrancy. In the salon, a money piece refresh and partial babylight touch-up along with a new color melt will be needed every eight weeks.

FORMULA STEPS

1. Complete a full head of babylights using Formula A in a brick-lay pattern through the back, pivot placement through the side quadrants, and diagonal-back placement behind the money piece.

2. Use back-to-back slices with Formula A until desired density is reached for an exaggerated money piece.

3. Pre-tone out any yellow using Formula B.

4. On dry hair, apply Formula C to the root and melt into Formula D on the ends, leaving the money piece out. Process for 10 mins.

5. Apply Formula E to the money piece root and melt into Formula F on the ends and allow to process for an additional 10 mins under heat.

6. Rinse, condition and style as desired.
