Sometimes clients let their color get away from them, and faded color can get a girl down after a while. That’s why when BTC #ONESHOT 2016 Color finalist, Vanessa Fermin’s (@vanessastylesyou) client walked into her salon in Stockton, Calif. with neutral, grown-out tones, Vanessa knew it was time to bring her shade back to life. She created a sassy and electrifying magenta lob, and shared the whole process with us! Here’s how it’s done.

FORMULA STEPS

1. Begin by applying two rounds of Formula A from the midsections to the ends, foiling everything for maximum incubation to ensure the highest level of lift.

2. Then, apply Formula D to the roots and let process to a Level 8. Shampoo and towel-dry.

3. Use Formulas C, D and E, keeping Formula C at the roots, Formula D at the midshafts and Formula E at the ends, melthing each color into one another.

4. Finish the look with a textured lob cut.
