Natural Glow Makeup at Novis by Aveda

Backstage at the Novis Fall/Winter 2014 presentation was an Aveda takeover. Antoinette Beenders, Aveda Global Creative Director and Janell Geason, Aveda Global Artistic Director, Makeup, created hair and makeup looks that complemented the graphic, bold shapes and earth tones in the collection, inspired by expressionist art.

For makeup, Geason created a hydrated, matte complexion with Aveda Inner Light Concealer and set with Aveda Inner Light Dual Foundation. “The clothes for Novis this season are very structured and geometric, so I wanted to create something soft and very beautiful for the makeup,” said Geason. “I combined our Eye Shadow Transformer with a new Petal Essence Single Eye Color in Golden Cypress for a shimmery paint-like effect on the eye.”
