Stratus, cirrus, cumulonimbus. Ever-moving, ever-changing, embellishing the sky with furrows and swells and thunderheads and astonishing color—from delicate pearl pink to velvety purple to deepest fiery red to stormy gray. For his new collection, visionary artist Damien Carney looked skyward…and pondered the fleecy puffs as they morphed from plumes to ragged cloudlets to towering domes. Still and stormy, voluminous and trailing off into delicate filaments, the sky offered itself up to Carney, and in his hands, the clouds came down to earth.
