Wella International Trend 2012: Meet the New Girls

After a year of intensive analysis, trendspotting, investigation and interpretation of global trends in culture, demographics and technology, the P&G Professional Team conjured up the Wella International Trend Vision looks for 2012. Roxy, Blaze, Grace and Celeste make up the cast of this stunning collection, which was revealed to the lucky members of the press during the Wella International Trend Vision Awards in New York. Each look was interpreted by Wella Professionals Global Creative Directors Eugene Souleiman and Josh Wood for the press “reveal.” Later during the event, each trend was interpreted by a group of international superstars—Darren Ambrose, The Doves & Paul Nasrallah, Sassoon International and Dmitriy Vinokurov—in a world-class production for all ITVA attendees.  Explore these incredible looks, soak up the inspiration and put your creativity to work adapting them for your clients!

Grace: Natural with polish; effortless glamour; eco-chic.
Eugene says:
“Every woman would love to look like this—subtle, gentle and pure. Grace is the embodiment of the new codes of luxury.”
Interpreted for the ITVA catwalk by: Darren Ambrose

Blaze: Fiery; seductive; ardent; passionate.
Josh says:
“In this collection, color and style have equal footing. The color—hot, rich pinks; intense darks—is placed with precision. There’s a Latin influence. The hair is dramatic, defined and face framing.”
Interpreted for the ITVA catwalk by: The Doves & Paul Nasrallah

Celeste: Modern day space heroines; lunar beauty; UFOs (unique and fabulous objects)
Eugene says:
“Celeste is otherworldly. The hair moves with energy—it’s never stiff. It represents a plethora of exciting new customized blondes.”
Interpreted for the ITVA catwalk by: Sassoon International

Roxy:  ‘70s retro femininity; re-edited classics; slinky sexuality.
Josh says:
“Berry is the new red! It’s cool and deep enough to make a statement, with an edge of sophistication and effortless glamour. It’s perfectly suited to the bold, attention grabbing styles—tall, wide and massively textured.”
Interpreted for the ITVA catwalk by: Dmitriy Vinokurov
