Vivid ColorWorks Collection

For this collection, the ColorWorks Artistic Team wanted to showcase a sampling of well-suited and highly tailored styles with rich “stand out in a crowd” color.

“We wanted each of these looks to sing with attitude each with infinite style and class,“ says ColorWorks Artistic Team Member Craig Miller of Arlington, Virginia. “We chose to create well-put-together looks that have a very definite neo-retro edge.”

“Although we’ve opted to seamlessly integrate style and color for this series, our main emphasis at our salons is squarely on color,” states ColorWorks National Artistic Leader Tracy Guthrie. “We are very proud that our Colorists meet the highest standard of technical excellence with a thorough knowledge of and absolute love for the art and science of haircolor.”

“The color for this collection,” adds team member Leon Howell of ColorWorks in Fairfax, Virginia, “is all about rich hues that seem to meld from one tone into another. Each is highly individualized with placement that is complementary to the overall shape and texture of the finished look.”

Guthrie continues, “In each case we chose a tonal range that was best suited to the model’s coloring and skin tone as well as the vision for the end result. In this collection you’ll notice high impact but believable hues for reds, while brunettes are very dark and the dimension is inarguably one of two things: either no contrast or high contrast placed in a very geometric fashion.  This year, no more “subtle” when it comes to brunettes. It’s all about high impact!  Blondes are all over the board in tonal range from buttery to icy, but one thing you’ll notice is low or no contrast.  The foundation of a highlight will be blonde instead of dark, creating a very blonde on blonde result.”

“Regardless of range,” declares Mezei Jefferson, ColorWorks Artistic Team Member from Towson, Maryland, “color today is all about personalization.  At ColorWorks, we customize color to reflect the style and personality of the individual wearing it.”
