Vidal Sassoon SpiralAutumn/Winter 2006
The Vidal Sassoon International Creative Team present their collection for the coming season, a collection that is cutting edge and quintessentially Sassoon.
“This season, the team is working with the idea of combining geometric and irregular shapes, a collection of contradictions, strong yet soft,” says Mark Hayes, International Creative Director. “These geometric cuts are softened with lengths of spiral panels that add trailing veils of movement, a compelling combination of feminine strength and softness.”

“Color for this season also follows the spiraling form, the color frames the graphic internal cutting shapes” says Annie Humphreys, International Color Director. “The team is using complex combinations of pale lavender with creamy white, purples with fuchsia and blue on deepest, darkest blue.”
“At the moment we are inspired by the abstract paintings of Barnett Newman and Morris Louis, key artists of post-war America,” adds Mark Hayes. “Their methodical, mapped out approach perfectly echoes the Spiral Collection which celebrates hair as art.”
