Canadian Hairdresser of the Year Mickey Svircevic presents The Opal.  His collection won him the award, but it took time, patience and dedication to bring this “jewel” to life.

“Formulating a photo collection is not a simple task. It was evident from the start that a lot of research was necessary to achieve the perfect series of snapshots that stood out from the rest, without going too radical,” explains Svircevic.  “In short, it had to be perfection.”

After a phenom photo session with the ever-so-brilliant BABAK, Svircevic was faced with the challenge of naming his collection. “After seeing the end result it finally hit me,” explains Svircevic.  “[The photos] strongly reminded of a valuable resource found in my native Australia; the opal.  An opal reflects many colors and appears beautifully crafted by nature itself.  This was undoubtedly created by a collective group, inspired by beauty.  Only a high caliber team could make this happen.”
