Teri Dougherty’s 2004 Travels Collection

Taking inspiration from her most recent visit to England, Teri Dougherty’s new Travels Collection presents an inimitable and exceptional approach to hair color and design.  The Travels Collection exemplifies innovation and originality, characterizing the awe and grandeur of the Stonehenge, the charm of stained glass windows of small town churches, and the enchanting beauty of the English countryside.  Click on the individual images for more detail.

Using time saving techniques to achieve an efficient cut and color, this new collection combines lines, geometric and circular patterns, foil and color that result in bold, but stylish looks.  The designs, created for different face shapes, individual personalities and moods, employ direct application techniques, allowing stylists and colorists to achieve maximum results.

Direct application is a process where hair color is placed straight onto the head in patterns only a minimum number of foils.  The results look just like your client had 250 foils, without the time involved wrapping each section of the hair.  This approach allows hair designers and colorists to section their client’s hair by using floral patterns, curves, diamonds, triangles and rectangles while applying different color shades and lighteners within these areas.  It takes half the time, but with exceptional results.

“I created the Travels Collection to capture my perceptions of the England and the enthralling beauty of its countryside,” said Teri Dougherty.  “The Travels Collection is a set of designs that dictate the efficient use of cuts and colors to achieve fantastic results,” Ms. Dougherty added.
