Two different cities.  Two different salons.  One common denominator: refined luxury.  Estetica Hairfashion Magazine presents two salons designed to relax even the most uptight and tense client.  These beautiful salons – one in Vienna, Austria and the other in Bucharest, Romania – are sights to be seen (and visited if you’re in the neighborhood!)  They certainly make us wish we lived on the other side of the pond…

Vienna – Bundy Bundy Salon
“Fit for a Queen”
Vienna is jam-packed with impressive buildings and historical landmarks.  So the Bundy brothers, Hans and George, were quick to realize the importance of a salon which not only boasts top class hair services and treatments, but also allows clients to be pampered within the luxurious premises of a former palace – the Lambert Sprinzenstein Palace (aka Kaiserhaus).  The baroque building belonged to the Hapsburgs in the mid-eighteenth century and makes for a truly remarkable salon.

Local architectural firm BWM were brought in to oversee the delicate task of renovating this historic location for modern purposes and, as the results show, they did a wonderful job.

Bucharest – YVONNE Salon
“That’s Zen Style”
The owners of YVONNE Salon chose one word to sum up its own appeal: charisma.  And they certainly have chosen well.  Owned by a third generation hairdresser Razvan Dobrescu, YVONNE salon is well-known throughout Bucharest (Hatmanu Arbore) and has a loyal following.  Razvan, who was trained at the Toni&Guy Academy, is a regular fixture at fashion shows and consistently does editorial work for the likes of Elle, Viva and Cosmopolitan as well as being an on-set collaborator in the film industry.  Long story short: he’s a busy guy with devoted clients and a gorgeous salon. 

He opted for the pure white surfaces, walls and chairs, injected the rooms with life-giving light green panels and cherry blossom decorations.
