Working on the premise that opposites attract our symbiotic color allows for the blending of extremes to create subtlety and boldness.  Alternating colors opposite one another on the color star on a single mesh of hair, one color applied to the roots and the opposite color to the ends then reversing the color application on the subsequent mesh.

The effect can be created either by using tint for a softer more natural look or by pre lightening the hair and using ultra vibrant and or pastel tones.  The placement of the color and the blend of natural color with vibrancy at opposite areas on the head to create a balance to the overall effect.
