Premiere Orlando not only wowed the 45,200 Beauty Industry Professionals and students who attended this year’s event event but earned the coveted title as Favorite Industry Show during behindthechair.com’s Stylist Choice Awards (SCA) held during Premiere Orlando 2006. From the Main Stage to specialty presentations to intensive seminars, Premiere Orlando 2006 brought together the leading industry experts in a two-day extravanza of style and education. American Crew: David Raccuglia; BaBylissPRO: Heather Wenman; Sam Brocato; Vidal Sassoon; Grund: Wayne Grund; L’ANZA: Oscar Bond and Matt Swinney; Martin Parsons; John Paul Mitchell Systems: Robert Cromeans; SUDZZ FX: Albie Mulcahy and Dwight Miller; PROFOUND: John Donato; Redken: Kris Sorbie and Noah Hatton; RUSK: Sandra Yu and the RUSK Artistic Design Team and TIGI: James Morrison, all appeared on Main Stage bringing their platform artist savvy and energy to Premiere Orlando.
Beth and Carmine Minardi brought the Hair Color Today arena alive for an enthiastic audience and were joined by others such as Chromastics: Tom Dispenza; Clairol Professional: Anita Guiterrez and Danny LaPointe; It&ly Hairfashion: Gary Tenore; Keune Haircosmetics: Scott Seigler; John Paul Mitchell Systems the color: Scott Cole and Linda Yodice; LOGICS: Gina Khan; Rob Willis International: Rob Willis; Schwarzkopf Professional: Claudia Salyer and Scruples: Trent Day to share color basics, advanced tips, fresh techniques and the newest color tricks!
Global Texture was featured with educators like AROSCI, Avløn, Barry Fletcher, BIA International, Bonika Shears, Chuck Caple, Essations, I.C. Art Stylez’s Traci Washington, Namaste’ Laboratories, Nu Expressions and Patric Antonio Bradley teaching stylists about gaining and retaining multicultural clientele at any salon!
Nail technicians witnessed the debut of the Premiere Orlando Nail Stage and visited with experts from CHRISTRIO, Creative Nail Design, Cuccio Naturale, Entity Beauty, KUPA, Nancy King, OPI, Poshe’, Tammy Taylor, Young Nails; and skincare professionals attended the NCA/CIDESCO USA Premiere DAYSPA EstheticsAmerica Conference in record numbers.
Business classes, medical spa classes, barbershop education, NCA Hair and Nailpro Nail Competitions and extension and weave education as well as manufacturer classroom sessions with leading companies like Amber Products, ANESI, Depilève, DermaNew, GiGi, The International Dermal Institute, Repêchage, Satin Smooth, TREND were also a big hit.
The screening of the industry film I’m not Just a Hairdresser by Vivienne MacKinder gave attendees an in depth look at fabulous women in the industry and their stories of success. And the “Be Nice, Balance & Day Making Tour for Hurricane Relief,” featuring Sam Brocato, David Wagner, James Morrison and Winn Claybaugh with all the proceeds going to help industry victims of Hurricane Katrina.
