Today our lifestyles, needs and technology are changing at a blurring pace. Among other things, it’s no longer simple to categorize people. For example, a 40-year-old woman can often wear the same clothes and hairstyles as a 20-year-old. Age, in fact, has become less relevant about how we present ourselves. Instead, it’s more about how we style our clothing and hair—how we design and put ourselves together—that becomes our new DNA, our new identity. It is these unique expressions that show the world both who we are and who we want to be!

It’s because we express ourselves uniquely, while returning to elegance and femininity, that our Artistic Team chose to work with two distinct directions/themes in DNA. The first is romance in a digital world: In clothing we are seeing more tone-on-tone whites, off-whites and beiges… creating a great backdrop for stronger controlled shapes with bolder perimeters in hair design. The second is modern ethnicity: This brings more “coastal” tones in textures and patterns in clothing. This powerful combination complements hairstyles with greater volume, texture and softer perimeter lines.

In the creation of DF 278, DNA, the DF Artistic Design Team:

  • Alternated increased and graduated lengths to create shape and texture
  • Placed asymmetric color unexpectedly near the face while maintaining the impact of length contrasts
  • Unified contrasting lengths with subtle color placement
  • Sculpted interior lengths to subtly overlap the exterior creating textural variation
    and much, much more!

The complete DNA styling collection embraces concepts and themes of romance in a digital world, simple luxury, artificial environments, controlled areas of decoration and more. Combined, they provide inspiration, innovation and complete technical education.
