It was a weekend of learning, play, and inspiration when 3000 hairdressers, salon owners, distributors and salon consultants took over the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas for the ultimate education experience—the Paul Mitchell Signature Gathering 2004.  From Elvis impersonators to Bowie rock glam, it was an event filled with art, education and fun.

John Paul DeJoria was on hand to meet, greet and motivate all the attendees and to show appreciation to the Paul Mitchell extended family.  John Paul Mitchell Systems’ award-winning team- including Artistic Director Robert Cromeans, Artist Directors for Paul Mitchell the color Scott Cole and Linda Yodice, Global Ambassador Floyd Kenyatta and Master Associate Stephanie Kocielski- shared their knowledge and expertise.

Classes covered the latest cutting and color techniques, styling trends and business strategies with workshops ranging from Colorcutting to Manhandling and Styling to Business Building.  Attendees went home with valuable tools to help increase their male business, color business and retail sales, and enhance the workplace vibe.

Service building was a major theme throughout the Signature Gathering including a main stage presentation by Robert Cromeans and Nina Kovner, Vice-President of Marketing for John Paul Mitchell Systems.  They discussed new ways to market hair care and hair color.

Winn Claybaugh was excited to talk about the growth of Paul Mitchell The Schools during a main stage presentation that included a funky hip-hop video in praise of Paul Mitchell, produced by students of the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology.  And Paul Mitchell The School Future Professionals capped off Winn’s presentation with a spectacular show featuring hairstyles through the ages.

Paul Mitchell’s styling stars—from Artistic Directors to Associates to Future Professionals—showed off great hair, while entertaining the crowd with cool tunes, funky dance numbers, and glamorous costumes.
