Midoma Salon and Gallery in New York City created their recent couture hair collection “Button[up]” for designer Sumie Tachibana’s Fall/Winter clothing line.

The model’s Nordic blonde hair provides the perfect contrast to the clothing’s textured black fabric. This sophisticated collection balances Medieval Equestrian and Gotham City, femininity and masculinity. 

Long, solid shapes and short swept bangs are highlighted by carefully placed buttons, straight from the designer’s clothing. “The idea of incorporating the designers signature button into the hair translated really well.  It created a common thread throughout the collection while fusing the outfits with the hair,” says Midoma’s Michael Schwarzer.

Midoma’s newest collection makes the imminent chilly weather seem not quite so daunting.  We’ll be sure to “Button[up]” this winter!
