Joico’s Styling Team Goes Ultra-Feminine at New York Fashion Week’s Hottest Shows

Tracy Reese’s ultra-feminine, vintage-inspired fashions are often seen on the likes of Paris Hilton and Beyoncé, and during New York Fashion Week last month, a team of stylists from Joico complemented her spring collection with runway-worthy hair.

The hot, young designer’s predominantly black and white spring collection, topped with up-and-down coifs featuring flattering lift at the crown and smooth, straight ends, earned enthusiastic props from fashion scribes at The New York Daily News, The New York Times and WWD

Also on Team Joico’s Fashion Week calendar were Doo Ri and Mary Ping, dubbed “designers to watch” by New York Magazine, as well as As Four, United Bamboo, James Coviello, Maria Cornejo and H. Frederikkson.

Led by Joico National Education Manager Mark Parks and lead Joico artist Addam Moreno, the team of stylists blasted through dozens of bottles and tubes of JoiMist Firm Spray, K-Pak Protective Hair Spray and Styling Crème Elixir, I-C-E Hair Sculpting Lotion and Silk Result Instant Smoother to achieve the precise amount of hold or casual disarray required by each designer.  At Tracy Reese, for example, Moreno reveals that he used K-Pak Protective as a flexible working spray, while Silk Result Instant Smoother protected ends from flat iron-intensity.  Moreno and company reached for many of the same styling tools for Mary Ping’s reverse androgyny (soft, eye-grazing looks for the guys and tightly fitted styles for the girls) and As Four’s futuristic, over-the-eye “pirate” coifs.  Most of the styles at all of the shows were finished off with a quick spritz of light-hold JoiMist to discourage strays and flyaways.

And, it wasn’t only the catwalkers who were well-coiffed by Joico.  Audience VIPs at every show (a virtual “Who’s Who” of the New York fashion and Hollywood scenes) received elegant organza bags containing a variety of Joico hair care products.  In total, more than 2500 items wound up in the hands of these international tastemakers!
