Intercoiffure America/Canada Rock ‘n Roll Royalty
Scott Cole, Fashion Director for Intercoiffure America/Canada opened up Intercoiffure’s Spring Business Symposium on an exuberant, rockin’ note with the introduction of his new trend collection, “Rock ‘n Roll Royalty.” As models strutted to the music of the Stones, attendees were inspired to take Cole’s signature techniques that blend high fashion with client-friendly styles back to their salons.
“This reflects the contemporary attitude of rock ‘n’ roll”, explains Cole “That hair moves. Shorter pieces blend with longer pieces to create complex, disconnected texture. The tones are sophisticated double process blondes that verge on white, chocolate browns and a splash of peacock-colored whimsy.”
Back in the day, the music was wild and rebellious, and so was the hair. Backcombed beehives gave way to shags and long, straight hair. Now the music is part of our lives, influencing our clothes, color palettes and hair as well as other, more intangible choices. “Rock ‘n roll is part of our lives,” explains Cole. “It provides the emotional backdrop for our private and public milestones.”
