Recently, Times Square rolled out the red carpet for the six unique and multifaceted individuals who were chosen to be the new faces of KMS California… a dream-come-true for four men and two women.

On February 1, 2006, KMS California began its pursuit for six open-minded, multi-faceted individuals to represent the brand. All contestants were required to submit up to three photos and a 250-1,000 word essay detailing how they freely express themselves and exemplify individuality, as well as why they should be selected to represent the new KMS California brand.  Hundreds of individuals officially entered the contest and nearly 7,000 registered via the contest website. 

The winners were selected from a pool of hundreds of applicants that were originally narrowed down to 18 finalists, who competed in the “I Am KMS California” Casting Call Final Event. 

The final event was held at New York City’s hottest event destination – the Nokia Theatre – in the heart of Times Square. The Style Network’s Modern Girls’ Guide to Life host, Jess Zaino, and famed reality television stars, The Gastineau Girls, served as celebrity judges at the event along with other industry expert judges from KMS California.

As the new faces of KMS California, Ann, Preziuso, Scott, Wells, Nicola and DeLong were selected based on their unique look and personality, multi-faceted lifestyle and their ability to stay true to their sense of individuality each and every day.  At the event, each finalist was asked to create a look using KMS California products, answer a question unique to their life and explain why they should be one of the new faces of KMS California.  

The six winners were rewarded with a year’s supply of all nine KMS California sublines, media exposure surrounding the “I Am KMS California” Casting Call, and will participate in promotional events in the coming months.
