Emmy ‘Do Review: Too Little, Too Much or Just Right?

Our hearts go out to the hairdressers who drew Emmy duty this year.  It was one of those sizzling September afternoons in L.A. when this year’s TV celebs launched themselves down the red carpet.  And undoubtedly the crush of stars, fans, media and handlers on that rug sent temperatures soaring even higher.

That’s probably why, in addition to some great looking hair, there was also an array of stiff, sprayed, splayed, half-hearted and tortured ‘dos appearing this year.  Apparently some stylists were turning to backcombing and the firm-hold formulas to keep their looks from wilting…or perhaps they were suffering from heat exhaustion.  Of course there were some real winners—Katherine Heigl’s chic, triple-strand chignon comes to mind—and we urge you to study those champs and start practicing so that you’re ready for the next round of weddings and parties.

In the meantime, we’ve summarized your emails, added a liberal dose of our own catty comments, and now present the BTC Emmy hairdo meow mix: “Too Little, Too Much, or Just Right?”
