Couture meets the circus esthetic, and the result is a playful blend of black and white with bursts of color…plus a rich mélange of layers and textures. Hard working and creative, circus troupes are the original nomads—once cobbling together their looks and lives stricktly from the odds and bits that could be carried in a trunk from town to town. The outcome was often colorful and creative, and certainly unconventional. Here’s to the travelers, the nomads, the wanderers, the gypsies—and to the delight they bring wherever they stop, however briefly.
