Inspired by the latest 2009 trends for spring and summer, Lisa Vann’s Classic Afros personify runway looks inspired from fashion icons like Vera Wang, Cynthia Rowley and Alexander McQueen.  “I love the idea of creating simple shape and adding some great texture to the hairstyle,” explains Vann.  “Classics are always the way to go when dressing hair up.  So I thought, ‘Why not put a new texture in some of the traditional shape?’  This can make your up-style look modern, fresh and current.”

“With a basic French twist, I added a highly textured pompadour to the front of the style.  I went for combining smooth classic styles with a hint of texture,” explains Vann.  “I wanted to show off the natural textured hair of African-American women with a great shape.”
