BTC’s 2005 Stylist Choice Awards

To honor the winners, you throw the hottest party of the season… the 2005 Stylist Choice Awards (SCA) held April 17th at CROBAR in New York City where the creme de la industry creme including finalists, winners, business leaders, and platform artists plus the press and BTC members all gathered to cheer, applaud, schmooze and then dance the night away!

For five consecutive years, Redken Fifth Avenue was awarded Best Overall Professional Products Company and Robert Cromeans, Artistic Director of John Paul Mitchell Systems named Favorite Platform Artist. In addition this year, Redken snagged awards for All Soft, Shades EQ, and the Redken Symposium while Paul Mitchell earned the nod for Super Skinny, Sculpting Foam, and Favorite Brush.
Other awards went to broad cross-section of manufacturers with first time winners like PureOlogy Hydrate sharing the SCA spotlight with perennial favorites Joico K-Pak and ARTec Colorist Collection. TIGI Bed Head was named Favorite Professional Make-up Line, plus won for Cocky and Manipulator; Matrix claimed victory for Amplify Root lifter, Color.smart, and Sleek.look; while Farouk captured the prize for their CHI Transformation system plus Flat Iron and Blow Dryer.
Seen on the scene… a virtual “Who’s Who” of beauty industry artists and leaders. Program presenters included: Robert Cromeans, Kris Sorbie, Chris Baran, Sandra Yu, Scott Cole, Linda Yodice, Andrew Bartfield, Michael DeVellis, Brian & Sandra Smith, Nicholas French, Dwight Miller, Angus Mitchell, Ann Mincey, Billy B, Damien Carney, James Morrison, Sam Brocato, Martyn Duff, Mary Brunetti, Melissa Yamaguchi, Rob Aubin, Jason Seed, Ruth Roche, Stephanie Kocielski, Tommy Tussa, Warren Tricomi, Marco Passaniti, Patty Roberts, Laura Holmes, Kevin Givens, Geno Stampora, Steven Brooks, Kaz Amore, Ted Gibson, Mark Garrison
