Knit Wit by Eugene Souleiman

Most of us look at a ball of yarn and see…a sweater. Not Wella Professionals’ Eugene Souleiman. He unravels the skeins and lets them lead him to explosive shapes, textures, colors and silhouettes. He imagines White Russians and post-nuclear war princesses. He sees candy-floss pinup girls, confection-colored Viking maidens and the arc of leaping flames. He envisions fiber, textile, embellishment and ornamentation. And then he executes, knitting the strands of his ethereal concepts until they become fantastic, three-dimensional realities.
