Breakthrough from Lunatic Fringe represents and signifies a myriad of explanations, ideas and inventive color processes.  “The purpose of the collection is in hopes to present the color process of ‘color melting,’” explain Lunatic Fringe Stylist and Artistic Team Member Steven Robertson.  “Color melting is the same effect as ‘organic’ or ‘lived in color’.  The process can be viewed as more natural by keeping the highlight within two levels of lift from the base color, or be more striking and edgy by using large variation in tone and level as your canvas.” 

When brainstorming for their latest collection, the team looked up to the sky for inspiration, literally.  “What better way to feature this trend of color than by using our solar system as inspiration,” explain Robertson.  “As you find yourself gazing, you may become familiar with comets, shooting stars, solar flare, and just maybe, if you’re the lucky one, the alien figures of our universe.  HA!”

“That is how we chose to display our love for the progressive trend of ‘color melting’ at Lunatic Fringe Salons,” explains Robertson.  “Whether it is in blondes, brunettes, or fiery reds, color melting can be presented on every head of hair, making it versatile for every guest.”
