Arrojo Studio continues to charge forward in new directions. Bionic Chic.  A fresh new attitude taking hair trends towards cleaner more natural  elements. This progression sees a shift to closer crops and hair away from the face. Sophisticated, upbeat and wearable with shine and texture prominent throughout. In short: Short City Hair. And the time is now. 

Inspiration was a mix of urbanite identity and pop culture with a dash of Wella’s 06 trend vision, (a modern synthesis between technology and nature), pitched in for good measure. The idea was to inspire clients to embrace change while still pushing the creative envelope. Fun individual cuts with ribbons of imaginative color to craft a hip happy spirit.

To capture this organic essence, Bionic Chic was launched with a stunning NYC photo shoot, set on New York City streets.  With retro 80’s fashions, a look bathed in authenticity and modernity took hold. Shorter shapes with layers of natural texture were glossed with champagne blonde, chocolate brown and rich red tones. Hair was fresher and way funkier. As featured in magazines such American Salon, Arrojo’s short styles will be in the spotlight this spring and summer. 

This exhibition of controlled fluidity will now be showcased on Arrojo’s main stage presentation for IBS and as part of our Wella Trend Vision Tour. The final collection of iconic images represents Nick’s entry for the NAHA Master Stylist of the Year award and will form our inspirational summer window display. With strong, bold shapes and dynamic, directional color they’re sure to re-ignite the passion for short hairdressing from consumers and stylists alike.
