Behindthechair.com’s Mary Rector-Gable recently accepted the award for “Best Industry Website” at the 9th annual ABBIES (America’s Best Beauty Industry Efforts for Salons) held at the Renaissance Hotel in Long Beach, CA which also saw a relative newcomer – Industrie- take home 3 awards in the Equipment & Tools Category plus the coveted Gold ABBIES.

The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) honored its members during this event emceed by industry superstar Ann Mincey of Redken 5th Ave. NYC.  Awards were presented in eight overall categories that recognize innovation, creativity and overall excellence in marketing- All Entrants, Hair Care, Skin & Body Care/ Cosmetics, Nail Care, Equipment & Tools, Distributors, Salons & Spas, Publications, plus the Gold ABBIES Award, given to the entry that best represents innovation, creativity, savvy marketing acumen and professional advancement for the industry.
